Still waiting on that Red Dead post! Especially as you have already written about cowboys (albeit the cocaine variety).

I love the dual view of Florida--one as a nice retirement place for old, rich people and another as a crime-infested drug-strangled state. Oh, and Disney World is somewhere there too.

P.S. I like your new layout! Very clean.

Apologies for not getting back to you - I knew someone I knew was a big Stewart Lee fan. In the first week of the festival, I came out the Russell Kane gig and Stewart Lee was mingling with the crowd flyering his own show. I took one off him before realising it was him. There you go. I didn't see his show though, unfortunately.

I had to Google John Bishop but I know who you mean. Strikes me as a slightly less shit Peter Kay, which isn't saying a lot.

I think you've summed RH up pretty well, but I suppose being wrapped up in oneself goes with the territory for a stand up. He was banging on about it again today (plus a nice little line about him not complaining 'as some on Twitter chose to interpret my remarks') and to be honest I just think he's a bit precious about it all.

Never mind. Stewart Lee was always the really funny one! (Bet he's never heard anyone say that before.)

I went to see that John Bishop at the Fringe (friends bought us the tickets and it would have been awkward to refuse.) Anyway, he was shit and if I knew what his Twitter name was, I'd send him a tweeting fist to smash his toothy grin to smithereens. The man made a show out of talking about his past Edinburgh experiences and now that he's on the telly, he had a bigger venue. I was also sitting next to a mental woman who kept looking at me to see if I was laughing when she laughed. This had the added effect of me not even smirking (I admit, there was a couple of banal occasions where this occurred) when I would have.
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is quite good, but hosts a fuck load of shit. The streets are too busy and John Bishop has caused this. Kill him.

Richard Herring: never really known him, but does sound a bit like he's wrapped up in a fat lot of himself. As so many of them are. I started following a few of them in twitter in the run up to the fringe and it's all a bit 'meh'.

At least they finish up in a day or two.

Someone bring me candy floss!

I live for comments like this! "an admirably continental attitude towards road markings"

On these roads, I sometimes feel like killing someone whilst sacrificing my own life would be worth it just to teach them a fucking lesson! I'm in a car. You are on your feet. Cars will break you. I can't be arsed looking out my insurance documents. Fuck off.

Be safe, be strong.

You are right, of course. There is literally nothing more important to me than giving you something to read for a couple of minutes a few times a week. Nothing is more important than this. NOTHING.

At long fucking last! Call yourself a VIDEO GAMES AS SEEN THROUGH THE EYES OF AN IDIOT BLOG?....Just shorten it to AN IDIOT BLOG, as this is quite clearly what you are. What could possibly be any more important than updating your blog? What? WHAT?!!!

Anyway, I've been spending plenty of time playing Shoot 1UP from the Xbox Live Indie Games area, and it cost about £1. A pound. One Earth poundington. And it's great. Pure 80's vertical (mostly) shoot 'em up action. Fuck ten zillion polygons shifting around the screen at once, give me this shit anytime!

Here a link to some youtubage of said game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWFP6kj0RwY
